Us Christians are not perfect either!!! Though Rev. Hensley may have been confused (as many of us are) his teachings on personal consciousness (the message that Jesus was trying to teach) are valid.
I as a follower of Christ also believe in "that which is right" the message of Reverand Hensley.
I Honor and Love my spiritual brother Jesus Christ, not the flesh (Temple as the Bible calls it) rather the spirit that dwelt in that flesh....
That Great Spirit that sits on high, yet dwells in each and everyone of us.
We as Christians have really disorganized the original and intended message of Jesus Christ... the message that saved humanity during that time of their selfish destruction.
A church is like a grocery store for the soul, do you buy everthing you see at the material grocery store?
